PADI Open Water Diver: Your Ticket to the Underwater World
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater and explore the hidden 70% of our planet? The PADI Open Water Diver course is the first step in your diving journey. By the end of this course, you’ll be a fully certified diver, authorized to dive to 18 meters (60 feet) anywhere in the world.
What You’ll Learn
The course is designed to take you from a complete beginner to a confident, safe diver through three easy phases:
Knowledge Development: Understand the basic principles of scuba diving. You can complete this online via PADI eLearning at your own pace.
Confined Water Dives: Practice essential diving skills in a pool or pool-like environment until you feel completely comfortable.
Open Water Dives: This is the best part! You’ll head into the ocean to complete four dives, applying what you’ve learned while exploring local reefs and marine life.
Course Requirements
Age: 12 years or older.
Skills: You should be able to swim and be in good physical health.
Time Commitment: Usually 5 minimum
